Unbroken is the story of an Olympic runner, Louis Zamperini, going from a bombardier to survivor to a tortured prisoner of war.
I think it’s amazing how he survived all that, because of survival training, pride, and dignity. This is a good book to read to learn about the horrors of war or learn about POW camps, like the one Louis was in in Japan. Also if you like adventure, you’ll be amazed at his story and what he goes through.
I believe God spared Louis’s life so he could tell others his story and later about God. I think it’s so important for kids to read this so they can learn what’s going on in this world and discover what man is capable of, good and bad.
I recommend this book to boys and girls age 10 plus.
